Bob Hayes is Commander of Cambridgeshire Constabulary's Central Division, which includes St Ives. He has been a police officer for 24 years, and has worked in all areas of the county. During his career he has been a detective, police diver, and training instructor. Prior to his present command he was responsible for the force's control room, traffic, dogs and tactical firearms departments, and the force helicopter. Outside of work, Bob enjoys music (having been in a 1970's rock band) and is a member of the Campaign for Real Ale.
