St Ives Fire Station was opened in 1972, has two Dennis appliances and now houses an Occupational Health Unit. It is also equipped as an emergency control centre. Current strength is 20 firemen who are all 'retained' as opposed to full-time. Last year they responded to 381 emergency calls. The 4 men pictured here represent one crew. From left to right are: Andy Watts (Station Commander), Tony Train (Firefighter), Gary Pownall (Firefighter), Ray Woods (Firefighter).
