Majid, who lives in St Ives, has been boxing for 4 years. Nick-named 'the pocket rocket' by his coach, Mick Taylor, he is only 15 but already has 30 contests under his belt and during the Millennium season contested the Schoolboy ABA championship where he reached the quarter-finals, losing to the ultimate winner. He also reached the final of the National Association of Young People's Clubs. Majid's next objective is to box for the England's Schoolboys team. "He's special, he is," says Mick Taylor proudly.
