The St Ives swimming club is coached by Robert Hamilton. Members featured here are (left to right): Seated: Sarah Halliwell, Jackie Valaks, Amanda Kellet. Kneeling: Russell Brown, Steve Mavin, James Page. Standing: Robert Hamilton, Kevin Barter, Alice Ely, Victoria Gatford. Both Steve and Kevin are hopefuls for Olympic trials to take place in July 2000, Steve having competed twice in the 100m Fly swimming heats. Amanda Kellet is the 400m individual medal swimmer, and both Jackie and Sarah are already showing signs of a very competitive future ahead. Robert Hamilton comments: "They are a winning team strongly driven by enthusiasm for their sport."
