In 1999 over 60 real ales were available, all from independent British Brewers. Local breweries supplying ale were City of Cambridge , Oakham and Fenland. Recommended pubs in St Ives selling real ale are the Nelson's Head, Oliver Cromwell, Royal Oak and White Hart. The champion British beer in 1999 was Timothy Taylor's 'Landlord'. | ||
