On the editorial side, Julian
and Ann are responsible for Huntingdon, St Ives and Ramsey news stories.
Julian has doggedly reported on MP John Major's triumphs and disappointments
over the last 20 years, and covered all the big stories from the Cruise
missile protests at Molesworth to the present-day animal rights disturbances
at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Outside of work Julian is a Land Rover enthusiast,
a keen fisherman and enjoys cycling. Ann used to combine part-time journalism
with voluntary work in Cambridge co-ordinating visiting schemes for elderly
people. She moved to the St Ives office in the early 1990s and for 3 years
lived on a narrow boat with her husband and younger son. She has been
safely back on dry land since 1994. Other 'News' staff at the Crown Street office cover reception, telesales, field sales and advertising. They include Gladys Cooper, Tricia Harder, Kathryn Nicholas, Barbara Wright, Sandy Lieser and Prema Dixon. |
